For anyone missing one tooth, multiple teeth or a full arch or set of teeth, dental implants may be the permanent solution you’ve been searching for. Missing teeth impact more than just the appearance of your smile. They also cause issues with chewing, speaking, and proper dental alignment. Empty spaces can also allow other teeth to shift, creating new crevices in which plaque may build and proliferate. Shifting also disturbs the alignment of your teeth, which impacts your overall oral health and comfort.
At New Image Dentistry & Implants, we offer a range of reliable, effective dental implant treatments to get you on your way toward achieving the beautiful, healthy smile you deserve. Here’s how our process works:
In most cases, dental implants are placed in three steps. During the first step, Dr. Bosh will insert the titanium implant into the jawbone by way of existing tooth roots. A local anesthesia eliminates pain during this portion of the treatment. Sedation dentistry is also available for patients who may have high anxiety about their treatment. The implant is then left to heal over the next months, giving it time to fuse to the bone in a process known as osseointegration. Once the implant and bone have fused completely, you will have a strong, sturdy foundation for your replacement tooth.
During your next visit, a connective device, called an abutment is added to the implant, which completes the foundation for your new replacement tooth. Time is given for the gum tissue around the abutment to heal before your dental restoration can be placed.
Once the foundation is built, your custom-designed dental prosthetic is placed. This prosthetic may be a dental crown, bridge or fixed denture, depending on your specific needs and the number of teeth in need of replacement. With the implant and restoration firmly in place, your tooth or teeth are highly secure and will function like any other natural healthy tooth and can be cared for in the same way.
As with all surgeries, dental implant procedures are most successful in healthy patients. Patients should practice proper oral hygiene, eat well, and avoid smoking. The jaw bone must also have enough material and be strong enough to support the dental implant.
Dr. Bosh will discuss any treatments you may need prior to beginning the implant procedure to guarantee the highest level of success with your procedure. Also be sure to discuss any pre-existing medical conditions with Dr. Bosh to ensure your safety at all stages.
Dental implants are cost-effective, permanent, natural looking and often stronger than your natural teeth. The cost of dental implants depends on a number of factors, including the length of treatment, number of teeth to be replaced, materials used, and if any other procedures are needed prior to or in conjunction with your dental implant placement. We use only the highest quality materials and proven treatment methodologies in placing your dental implants to ensure you get a smile that will last a lifetime.
During your initial consultation, we will create a customized and comprehensive treatment plan just for you and discuss all costs associated with your treatment.
Our team, led by Dr. Inna Bosh, has advanced training in implant placement, plus, we offer many sedation options to make your procedure a relaxing one and help increase healing time. Modern-day X-rays are faster, safer and more informative and comfortable than ever before. Our cutting edge dental x-ray equipment provides detailed, high-quality images that are instrumental in ensuring you get the best treatment plan for your specific dental needs.
Digital X-rays are transforming dentistry, creating high-quality images that both the patient and dentist can view instantly and easily on a LCD monitor. This detailed image is critical in diagnosing and treating dental problems in their earliest stages. Digital X-rays also require up to 90% less radiation than traditional methods.
Another innovative method of dental imagery we use in our practice is called intraoral photography. Intraoral photography captures dental issues including cavities, fractures, discolored teeth, and more with clear, sharp images.
This technique uses a high-tech intraoral camera to photograph the teeth. Images enlarge the details by forty times to reveal problems such as cracks and abnormalities that may otherwise go unnoticed. Treating these problems at the earliest stage keeps your dental health on track and prevents further pain, time, and problems down the road.
At New Image Dentistry and Implants, we take a holistic approach to dental care, focusing on the overall health and safety of our patients. For that reason, we offer complimentary blood pressure screening as a service to all of our patients to ensure the utmost health and safety of all procedures.
As part of our routine dental examination services, we look for lesions or areas inside and around the mouth that may be signs of oral cancer. Early detection and treatment help to ensure the complete elimination of oral cancer in the vast majority of cases.
With regular checkups, we can detect and eradicate small areas of tooth decay and ultimately save a natural tooth from requiring more extensive, costlier treatment down the road.
More than 80% of adults have periodontal, or gum, disease in some shape or form. This common problem may be treated in a number of different ways, depending on the severity and progression of the disease, as well as the state of one’s teeth and gums. Gingivitis – the mildest form of the disease – can often be eliminated with one deep dental cleaning followed by proper oral hygiene practices, such as daily brushing and flossing as directed by your dentist. Periodontal disease, an advanced form of gum disease, can be treated using various surgical and non-surgical methods. Treatments for periodontal disease include scaling and root planing, laser gum surgery, or a gingivectomy (periodontal surgery).
In order to assess the loss of one’s gum tissue as a result of disease or otherwise, Dr. Inna Bosh evaluates and measures the recession of gum tissue at each checkup visit in order to monitor a patient’s oral health and treat gum recession accordingly.
Tooth discoloration may occur as a result of age, certain antibiotics and other medications, or certain foods and drinks. At New Image Dentistry and Implants, we use a detailed shade guide to determine your tooth’s color and mark its changes over time.
Dr. Bosh measures pocket and depth and mobility of the gums and teeth. These measurements offer valuable insight into how best to treat your teeth and gums, as well as what restorations best suit your needs.
Muscle testing allows us to determine bite problems, such as a collapsed or overclosed bite. Depending on the results of the muscle testing, a dental appliance may be used to adjust the space between the upper and lower jaws.
The severity of jaw muscle and joint dysfunction ranges from minor popping or clicking sensations to persistent pain affecting the neck, shoulders, and face. While there are many causes of TMJ and face muscle problems, there are also many treatment options to correct them.
TMJ stands for “temporomandibular joint”, which is the area just below each ear that connects the jaw to the skull. TMJ disorders may result from an improper bite, an injury to the face or jaw, misaligned jaw joints, or from clenching teeth. Symptoms include jaw pain, ear pain, and headaches. TMJ treatment can alleviate these symptoms by stabilizing your bite and alignment.
We utilize the revolutionary Caesy® Cloud system which allows us to represent your dental treatment using 3D animation full-motion video and colorful imagery, giving you a complete understanding about your treatment plan.
Thank to advanced digital modeling technology, we can show you what your smile will look like after your treatment before we commence with your treatment.
Daily brushing and flossing alone can’t prevent plaque and tartar buildup completely. A professional teeth cleaning is the most effective way to easily and painlessly remove tartar and plaque deposits, as well as deter bacteria from building up in hard-to-reach areas of the mouth. Left untreated, tartar and plaque can lead to more serious dental problems, so professional cleanings are essential for your long-term oral health.
Traditional teeth cleanings require manually scraping deposits, but advanced alternatives such as laser teeth cleaning (also called ultrasonic cleaning) also offer comfortable, highly-effective solutions. Laser teeth cleanings kill harmful microbes and remove bacteria with high-frequency sound waves. Laser teeth cleanings are also generally faster, quieter, and more comfortable than traditional methods.
Another technique used for tartar and plaque removal is called a deep cleaning (also known as scaling and root planing). Stubborn plaque deposits are first removed and then root surfaces are smoothened in the second phase to prevent further bacterial buildup. Deep cleanings help protect against periodontal disease and restore gum tissues back to their optimal health.
Root canal treatments are now faster and easier than ever before thanks to new and improved technology. High-tech electric root canal hand pieces make this treatment quick and easy, restoring your health and smile in no time at all.
Dr. Bosh believes in treating patients as soon as possible to eliminate pain and let you get on with your life quickly. If you are experiencing a dental emergency, same-day appointments are available. Simply give us a call or stop in and we will fit you into our schedule as quickly as possible.
Dental implants offer a comfortable, permanent solution for missing or damaged teeth that look, feel and function just like natural teeth. Implants replace missing tooth roots and provide a sturdy foundation for replacement teeth and ceramic or porcelain crowns.
Arestin is a non-surgical gum treatment that utilizes microcrystalized, powdered antibiotics placed beneath the gum line to eliminate gum disease. This method is minimally invasive and a safe alternative to surgical measures.
Dentures come in a variety of materials and types to provide a safe, proven solution for missing teeth. At New Image Dentistry, we customize your full or partial dentures to create a natural-looking, comfortable solution for your missing teeth.
Overdentures are securely fitted onto two dental implants, eliminating uncomfortable slipping and sliding. Implant overdentures also eliminate the need for messy adhesives and help keep the gum tissue healthy and pain-free.
